07/08/2012:  Kildysart U14's finished off their regular season with their 6th straight victory beating Clooney/Quin 02 07 to  01 06 in a very exciting match.  Kildysart dominated the first half scoring 01 04 to Clooney's 2 points, with captain Barry Crehan (0-3) & Aaron Slobody (1-1) doing all the scoring.  The visitors came out fighting in the second half and scored 1-2 in six minutes, while Luke McGrath added a point for Kildysart - leaving only a point between the sides.  Clooney drew level at the 40th minute and took the lead at the 44th minute.  Kildysart steadied themselves and put the ball up to the forwards and Aaron Slobody goaled again.  Barry Crean's free put a goal between them at the 46th minute and Seamus Casey's point at the 51st minute gave them the 4 point advantage that they would hang on to to finish Kildysart 02 07 to Clooney 01 06.  Emmet McMahon was outstanding in goals and the backs cleared a lot of dangerous ball.  Best for Kildysart: Emmet McMahon, Barry Crehan, Aaron Slobody.

This victory tonight means the team will at least share the top table spot with Doora/Barefield and will be top on their own if Doora lose or draw their last match.  Kildysart are guaranteed a semi final place and details will be posted when known.

Team: Emmet McMahon, Mikey Donnellan, Conor Donnellan, David Cusack, Darragh Watson, Cormac Ginnane, Stephen Sheehan, Kieran O'Brien, Brian Meaney, Seamus Casey (0-1), Luke McGrath (0-1), Aaron Slobody (2-1), Barry Crehan (0-4, 1f).  Subs: Jack Sheehan for D. Cusack, Jack Kirrane for C. Ginnane, Darren Crehan for L. McGrath.

The U14 team wishes Aidan a speedy recovery.
