19/08/2013:  The Kil/Cool U14's had a comprehensive win in their final match of the season over Corofin.  Having lost their first 4 matches, Kil/Cool have adjusted to the higher requirements demanded of the top division and have won their last 3 matches.  The wins plus a walk over from St. Breckan's leaves them with 8 points on the table, a +11 points difference and earns them a spot in the Division 1 shield semi-final.  This is an excellent achievement for their first year in the top division.

Kil/Cool completely dominated the entire match and had 4 points on the scoreboard in the opening 8 minutes before Corofin pointed from a free. Stephen Sheehan's first goal from an almost impossible angle and a point from Aaron Slobody meant the Blues were leading 1-5 to a point by the end of the first quarter.  Corofin's unanswered scoring spree of 1-2 brought them within 2 points but Kildysart turned up the heat and only allowed Corofin 1 more point for the rest of the match.  Stephen Sheehan powered another one to the net and gave Kildysart a 2-7 to 1-3 lead at the break.

Stephen Sheehan started the second half the same way as he finished the first and completed his hat trick of goals in the opening minute of the restart. Kildysart emptied the bench and continued to score another 7 points in the half.  The team demonstrated some really good team work and moved the ball quite effectively up the field and stifled any chances Corofin tried to make.  Final score Kil/Cool 3-14, Corofin 1-4.
