5/07/2013:  Kildysart ran out 4 point winners in what was at-times a nail biting battle. Kildysart took on Kilmurray Ibrikane in front of large home crowd in the West Clare "A" semi-final and were the deserved winners on the night. Kildysart were a bit unsettled at the start and found themselves 1-3 to 2 points behind with 10 minutes left in the half. They soon found their rhythm and blasted 3 to the net in as many minutes to take a 5 point lead with 5 minutes remaining. KIB fought back and scored 1-1 leaving Kildysart with a single point lead at the break 3-2 to 2-4.

A strong 2nd half by both teams created very tense conditions for the remainder of the game. The lead swapped hands 4 times and while Kildysart held the lead for the majority of the time the gap was only ever 1 or 2 points up until about 10 minutes remaining.  The Blues then kicked it up a notch and scored 3 unanswered points in the remaining time to win out 3-12 to 3-8.   Strong performances from Stephen Sheehan, Seamus Casey and Fergal Ginnane in forwards and the Murphy brothers defence (David in goals and Cian full back) helped secure the victory.

Team: David Murphy, Darren Crehan, Coan Murphy, Luke Kirrane, Fergal Ginnane, Patrick O'Connell, Seamus Casey (1-4), Diarmuid O'Donnell, Stephen Sheehan (2-8, 4f), Conor Hassett, JJ McQuaid, Paul O'Sullivan, James Kelly. Subs Garry Murrihy and Shane Frawley
