27/07/2012:  Kildysart U12's were lucky to score a point in the dying minutes to secure a draw in the West Clare Championship Round 2 match against Miltown this evening.  Kildysart only had two scores in the first half but were level at the break 02. 00 to 01. 03 thanks to two goals by Stephen Sheehan.  Seamus Casey put up Kildysart's first two points in the second half and Stephen Sheehan was denied a goal when his blast into the net was stopped by an excellent show of goal keeping.  The same goalie was also lucky with Diarmuid O'Donnell's shot on goal.  He blocked it but the loose ball hit off the bottom up-right and was heading into the net when the goalie caught it and cleared it.  His luck however ran out when he caught Sarah McCann's ball but fell back into the net with the ball and the goal counted.  Kildysart were leading by 1 point when Miltown were awarded a penalty, which they converted to put them ahead by two with about 2 minutes left in regular time. Kildysart won a 45' and Stephen Sheehan, calm and steady put the ball over the bar to bring Kildysart within 1 point. Kildysart then scored the final point in extra time to earn the draw.  Final score Kildysart 03. 04 to Miltown 02. 07.
