L20/08/15:  The Kildysart Minors are headed into the Division C semi-finals after having finished third in the table.  The semi-final takes place this coming Sunday away to Doonbeg at 12:30.

The Kildysart/Coolmeen Minors also had a good season and are in a Division 1 quarter final on Wednesday 26th August.  The team finished third in the table behind Cooraclare and Clondegad, with 3 wins and 3 losses but had the second highest points difference.

The team finished their regular season on a high with a big win over Naomh Eoin/O'Curry's on Tuesday last 2-12 to 1-3.  Seamus Casey meant business when he racked up 1-1 with just a minute and a half played.  The Cleary brothers Ben x3 and Darragh x1 followed on with 4 unanswered points to give Kildysart/Coolmeen a 1-5 to no score lead with 10 minutes gone.  Adam Carrig stopped a certain goal to keep the momentum going and Barry Crehan capitalised a few minutes later with a ball to the back of the net.  N. Eoin/O'Curry's put two scores on the board before Luke McGrath scored the last point before the interval. Half time score Kildysart/Coolmeen 2-6, N. Eoin/O'Curry's 2 points.

Luke McGrath started off the second half with a point. N. Eoin/O'Curry's were piling on the pressure but were stymied by the Kildysart/Coolmeen backs. The boys from the West Clare peninsula eventually broke through and were rewarded for their efforts with a goal just before the turn of the last quarter. It was all still to play for with the score 2-7 to 1-2. Kildysart/Coolmeen then kicked it up a gear to match the pressure and scored 5 unanswered points to put the game out of reach.  N. Eoin/O'Curry's finished with a pointed free just before full time. Final score Kildysart/Coolmeen 2-12, N. Eoin/O'Curry's 1-3.
