02/04/2016: Kildysart Ladies U14's advanced to the Clare Division 2 Feile Final after accounting for Crusheen in the semi-final 2-2 to no score.  The team faced the formidable Kilmurry Ibrickane who had a big win over Kildysart in the Round Robin stage and ended up topping their group.  For the final things were different as Kildysart really took the game to Kilmurry and, at the end, only a kick of a ball separated the sides with KIB the winners 2-2 to 1-2.
Kilmurry's Amy Sexton, who did most of the damage in the round robin match, opened the scoring for Kilmurry when she converted a free in the 2nd minute. Kildysart's tactic of putting the "waspy" Emma Byrne on her really had an impact as she really closed her down.  Kildysart drew level when Roisin Donnellan pointed in the 7th minute but a point from Eilish Conway gave the North Clare team the lead again.  The backs Clara led O'Grady, Sinead Kelly and Sarah Casey put up a wall that KIB had a hard time getting through.  Kildysart drew level just before half time with another point from Roisin Donnellan.

Kilmurry again took the lead in the second half when a ball into the square was punched to the net by Amber O'Connor.  Kilmurry then pulled ahead when Amy Sexton's free sailed over the goalie's head and into the back of the net.  Kildysart fought back and were rewarded a free on the 13 metre line.  Roisin Donnellan fired it low and hard to the back of the net to leave just a goal between them.  Kildysart threw everything they had at them but just couldn't get the equaliser.  Final score: Kilmurry Ibrickane 2-2, Kildysart 1-2.
