29/03/2014:  Kildysart/Coolmeen had their 3rd win out of 4 over Lisdoonvarna's St. Breckan's in Coolmeen by a score of 2-9 to 2-6.  The visitors were first on the scoreboard in the opening minute but Kildysart/Coolmeen responded with 3 unanswered points from Seamus Casey, Barry Crehan and Sean Wallace.  Breckan's then scored the first of their 4 frees of the half to close the gap.  Alan Normoyle broke through the middle for a goal and this was followed by a point from captain Darragh Cleary to put the amalgamation ahead 1-4 to 2 points.  Breckan's were denied when their shot on goal rattled the crossbar at the 20th minute but they got a point with the resultant free. Kildysart/Coolmeen were then aided by Barry Crehan's attempted point which fell short and found itself in the back of the net.  Breckan's then responded with an unanswered 1-2 to leave only 2 points between the sides at the break - Kildysart/Coolmeen 2-4, St. Breckan's 1-5.

The second half remained scoreless until Seamus Casey pointed a free in the closing minutes of the 3rd quarter. Kildysart/Coolmeen were unlucky when Breckan's shot took a deflection off the defense and ended up in goal to draw level. Breckan's went ahead for only the second time when they put one between the posts. Breckan's were well on their way to another certain goal only to be foiled by corner back Conor Donnellan which then changed the momentum in Kildysart/Coolmeen's favour. Stevie Sheehan brought the sides level in the 53rd minute and then Barry Crehan converted two back to back frees to create a bit of breathing space. Crehan scored the last point from play to secure the victory.  Final score Kildysart/Coolmeen 2-9, St. Breckan's 2-6.   Next up is away to Corofin on Monday 7th April.
