Kil/Cool U15 Storm Thru West Clare Quarter Final

20/10/2012:  Hot on the heels of their Conway Tournament Victory, the Kil/Cool U15 had massive victory over Kilrush in the West Clare A quarter finals.  They go on to face the winners of Cooraclare v Miltown next weekend. Kil/Cool got off to a great start and were winning 5 points to a single point with scores from Ben Cleary x3, Conor Donnellan and Sean Wallace at the 10 minute mark.  Ben Cleary scored a further 1-3, along with a point from Barry Crehan making the score Kil/Cool 1-9 to Kilrush 3 points at the break.

The second half found Kil/Cool under pressure when Kilrush scored an unanswered 1-3 (penalty) to narrow the gap to 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  After 5 wides, Kevin McMahon got the first score for Kil/Cool in the second half and Barry Crehan followed with a goal to put 7 between the sides with 7 minutes remaining.  Alan Normoyle and Ben Cleary scored the last two points for Kil/Cool before David Clancy's goal left the score 3-12 to 1-9 at the end of full time.  Kevin McMahon's goal in the dying seconds of the match added the icing to the cake and resulted in final score Kil/Cool 4-12 to Kilrush 1-9.
