05/05/2012:  The sun was shining, the pitch was lined and looking well, there was a moderate breeze blowing from right to left on the hill when the Intermediates lined out this bank holiday Saturday to take on Wolfe Tones.  The visitors got an early lead pointing from free in the opening minute. Kildysart levelled the sides 3 minutes later with a free from Ger Kelly.  Ger Kelly scored a point after Tomas Eustace started the play at his own 20 metre line.  Wolfe Tones levelled the sides at 2 points each just before they scored a goal.  John Murtagh blocked the first attempt but was unable to clear it and the Tones found the back of the net.  Kildysart responded with a goal of their own off the boot of Keith Murphy which started by a free won by Michael "Taz" Eustace in mid field.  Kildysart lead by the minimum at half time 01 04 to 01 03.

Wolfe Tones got the first score of the second half to level the sides again.  Keith O'Connor then scored a 45' when Ger Kelly's goal chance was blocked wide. Brian O'Sullivan pointed two in a row, the second of which started with a Keith O'Connor 45', to put Kildysart up by 3 with 13 minutes gone in the 2nd half. However, in the 20th minute, Kildysart gave away a penalty which the Tones converted to level the sides once again.  Ger Kelly won his own free in the 25 minute to put the Blues in front but not for long as Wolfe Tones levelled the score again.  Ger Kelly scored the last  point of the match and then Kildysart defended their lead for the remaining 5 minutes to win Kildysart 01 09 to Wolfe Tones 02 05.  Best for Kildysart: Michael Eustace, Brian O'Sullivan, Ger Kelly.
