11/04/2014:  Kildysart looked very impressive when they took on Kilmihil in their 2014 league opener at home.  Kildysart got off to an early lead with points by Ronan Murphy, Conor Moloney and JJ McQuaid. They were then caught off guard when Kilmihil responded with 1-1 in the space of a minute. Conor Hassett then brought the sides level before Ronan Murphy chipped a lovely ball over the goalkeepers head for the first of 7 goals for the home side.  Another brace of points from Conor Moloney and Conor Hassett and 1 more for Kilmihil gave Kildysart the lead at the break 1-6 to 1-2.

Kildysart dominated the play in the second half racking up 6 goals and 8 points and only conceding 1 goal.  Fair play to Kilmihil as they demonstrated some good football during the half, but where unable to convert this to scores.  Credit is due to Kildysart backs who broke up Kilmihil's attempts while Kildysart's attack produced scores from a total of 8 players.  Well done to both teams for a very hearty display of football. Final score Kildysart 7-14, Kilmihil 2-2.

Team: Kieran Lorrigan, Adam Wallace (2-0), Joe Kelly, Fergal Ginnane (0-1), David Murphy, Conor Moloney (2-3), Ronan Murphy (1-3), Conor Hassett (1-5), JJ McQuaid (1-1), Damien McMahon (0-1), Jack Cotter (1-0). Subs: Adam Hayes and Dean Sheehan.
