22/03/2014:  Kildysart continue their good start in the Garry Cup by beating Senior Championship team Liscannor in Lahinch by scoreline of 2-5 to 1-5.  Kildysart were stunned in the opening minute when Liscannor's James Considine broke through the defense and rattled the net.  Kildysart were put on the spot again 2 minutes later but Liscannor were denied with a save by goalie Liam Griffin.  Keith O'Connor put in a Man-of-the-Match performance and was the first on the board for Kildysart 9 minutes in.  Keith Murphy put Kildysart ahead when he found the net from a play which was started by John Murtagh.  Liscannor continued the pressure and after Alan Clohessey's free, they tried to raid the net but were again denied by Griffin. This left the sides level at 1-1 each.  Keith O'Connor then pointed a difficult score to take the lead.  An attempt on goal by Keith Murphy went wide but Kildysart goaled again when the O'Connor brothers connected and Keith finished off the pass from Neilie. The last 10 minutes saw Kildysart added 2 more from Kieran Eyres (frees), another from Alan Clohessey.  Liscannor had 2 more attempts at goal (1 wide, 1 saved) and the score at the break was 2-4 to 1-2 in Kildysart's favour.

Another free by Kieran Eyres started off the second half.  Three unanswered scores by Liscannor from Clohessey (x2) and Robert Lucas left just a goal between them with 10 minutes remaining.  Kildysart held on to defend their lead and the match finished Kildysart 2-5, Liscannor 1-5.  Kildysart host Cooraclare on 13th April in Round 3.
