22/03/2014:  Match conditions were terrible with the first 10 minutes played in a downpour of hailstones with the wind howling every which way across the pitch. Signs of the recent storms were evident with one telegraph pole split in half and lying in the ditch behind the goal. Kil/Cool made the most of the conditions with points from Stevie Sheehan, Alan Normoyle and Barry Crehan x2.  Gaels/Kilmihil remained scoreless until the 25th minute of the half. Kil/Cool were under pressure though with Gaels/Kilmihil trying to raid the net but were denied multiple times by Adam Carrig. Gaels got a point and 2 frees to end the half Kil/Cool 4 to Gaels/Kil 3 points.

The first 10 minutes of the restart remained scoreless until Gaels/Kilmihil drew level. Another crucial save by Adam Carrig preserved the scoreline. This was followed by another 10 minutes of scoreless play until Kil/Cool scored a brace of points from Barry Crehan and Kieran O'Brien. Kil/Cool defended their lead for the remainder of the match until Gaels/Kilmilhil raided in the 62nd minute to go ahead 1-4 to 6 points. Kil/Cool missed their opportunity to level it up when the shot went wide. The ball ended up down the pitch and G/K scored their second goal in the 65th minute to finish the match. Final score Kildysart/Coolmeen 6 points, Gaels/Kilmihil 2-4.
