09/11/2018:  All the news regarding matches and lotto.  There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winner are:

€50 Paddy O’Connor, Kildysart
€30 Sean McMahon, Coolmeen
€30 Laura & Paul, c/o Ciaran’s
€30 J.T. Murtagh, Crovraghan
€30 Vanessa Murphy, Kildysart
€30 James Cleary, Clonola

Congratulations to manager Michael Crehan and the Kildysart Minors on winning the Minor C title four years in a row, overcoming Doonbeg 1-13 to 0-6.  Congrats to Seamus Casey, Diarmuid O'Donnell and Stevie Sheehan who picked up their 4th medal in this competition.  There is great coverage and action photos of this match in this week's Clare People and the Clare Champion.

Congrats also to the Minor Ladies and the Junior B Ladies who won back to back semi-finals over the weekend.  A special nod to the 6 girls who active roles in both matches, Sinead Kelly, Caiti Donnellan, Emma Byrne, Sarah Casey, Chloe Sheehan and Kyla Foley.  The Junior ladies won out over East Clare Gaels on a score line of 05-09 to 01-08, sending them into the Division 4 League Final v Banner Ladies 2 or Doora Barefield 2.  This is a great achievement for their first year of play.  The Minor Ladies are also making history in their first year by getting to the Championship D Cup Final, with 5 wins and 1 loss in the round robin stage. Kildysart faced Newmarket in the semi-final and they overcame a 5 point deficit towards to end of the first half to win by 4 points.  It was an exciting match that went right down to the wire much to the appreciation of the large crowd in attendance. Final score: Kildysart 5-9, Newmarket 5-5.  Kildysart faces Doora Barefield B in the final on Sunday 18th November at 2pm.  (Venue TBD).

The U21's have to do it all over again when Wolfetones snatched a draw from a free in the last point of the B Final.  It was a tight, physical match and there was nothing much between the sides.  The replay is set for Saturday 17th November.

Tricia
