04/10/2018:  All the club news regarding results, fixtures and lotto.  There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners were:

€50 Susan King, Cranny
€30 Sinéad Brady, Canada
€30 Rory Hennegan & Nicole
€30 John Byrne, Cahercon
€30 Damien Hill, Kildysart

Hearty congratulations to the Intermediate Team for a superb performance on Sunday last which sees them into their second Intermediate Championship final in 3 years. A solid team performance over neighbours Shannon Gaels (Kildysart 2-10, Gaels 0-11) sets up a third match v Kilrush for 2018.  Kildysart will be looking to reverse the outcome of their Championship meeting, having had a big win earlier on in the league.  There are excellent match reports in both the Clare People & The Clare Champion.  The final is scheduled for Sunday 14th in Doonbeg with the time TBC.

The winning ways continued on Sunday eve when the U12 ladies won the U12D Plaque over East Clare Gaels 3-7 to 2-3.  This is a great achievement considering it's a very young team.

Congrats to the Kildysart U13 boys who are in a West Clare U13B semi-final this Tuesday evening at 6:15 v Doonbeg after accounting for Kilimer 3-14 to 6-2 in the quarter final stage.

Congrats to Kildysart/Coolmeen Minors who won the Minor B Qtr final against Kilkee/Naomh Eoin/O'Curry's 2-18 to 2-10.

Best of luck to the Minor Ladies who hope to keep their unbeaten record alive when they travel to Gurteen this Monday.  #driveforfive

Upcoming matches with dates unknown at this time:  The U21 boys are in a final v Wolfetones, The Minor Boys are in a final v Doonbeg and the Junior B ladies are in a League semi-final v either Banner Ladies 2 or East Clare Gaels.

12/09/2018:  Weekly update on fixtures, results and all the news.  There were no winners in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners are:

€50 Terence Murphy,      Crovrahan
€30 Martin McMahon, Gurtnefrehane
€30 Joe Corry,             Lissyvuriheen
€30 Kieran Browne,       c/o Ciaran’s
€30 Tom Finn,                    Kildysart
€30 Marie O’Connor,       Birrinfadda

It was a great sporting weekend all around with big wins from the U21 boys and the Junior B ladies, capped off with the U14 ladies beating Wolfetones by a point on Sunday evening.

Following on from claiming the U21C honours in 2017, the team's 2-15 to 0-4 win over Corofin has propelled them in the "B" Final v Wolfetones.  Rory McMahon claimed Man of the Match honours as Diarmuid O'Donnell led the 9-strong scoring brigade. There is no date set for the final and it is at least 2 weeks away.

The Ladies' strong second-half performance got them over the line to claim the Junior B Shield on Saturday last.  A last-gasp fisted goal by Emma Finucane gave Kildysart the win 2-7, Doora Barefield(2) 2-5.  See full match report at  https://sites.google.com/site/kildysartgaaclare/match-reports/kildysartladiesclaimjuniorbshieldhonours.  Well done to the Ladies U10 who gave a strong performance at the Go-games during halftime in the final.

ALL roads lead to Lissycasey this Saturday when the Intermediates take on Coolmeen in a semi-final showdown.  Wins for Kildysart and Kilrush guarantee them both SF spots.  Kilrush play Naomh Eoin on Saturday at 5pm as well in Kilkee.

Best of luck to Kildysart/Coolmeen Minors who head to Corofin this evening in a refixture from last week.

Best of luck to the Ladies U14's who take on Kilmihil at home on Thursday at 6:30 and also to Ladies Minors who are looking for three out of three when they take on Crusheen on Friday.  The match is scheduled for 7pm but may move to 6:30 due to diminishing light.

Tickets are on sale for the 300 DRAW which is raising funds for pitch development. Sellers will be going door to door over the coming weeks. Your support is very much appreciated.

The order for training tops and 1/4 zips will be finalised this Sunday (17th) so all orders and money must be received by then. See Facebook page for details.

€50 Louise Garry,Lacknashannagh
€30 D. & K. Murphy, Coolmeen

Best of luck to the Intermediates who take on Naomh Eoin in a must-win battle this Saturday in Doonbeg at 3:45. A win for Kildysart would leave it all to play for in round 3 when they will take on Coolmeen. The intermediate match is the curtain riser to the Senior losers round with Cooraclare taking on O'Curry's, with the loser being relegated. Throw in for that match is 5:15. FYI: Kilrush take on Coolmeen on Saturday at 1pm in Labasheeda, where a loss for Coolmeen would make hard for them to secure a semi-final spot.

Best of luck to the Kildysart/Coolmeen minors who take on Kilmurry Ibrickane in the Championship 1B on Wednesday 29th August at 7pm in Kildysart.

Congrats to the Lady Minors who marked the occasion of their first-ever Championship match with a win over Wolfetones, Kildysart 4-13, Wolfetones 1-2.

Congrats to the Ladies U12 who have taken 2 from 2, beating Eire Óg 3-5 to 0-3.

Well done to the U10 boys who hosted a blitz on Saturday with over 90 boys participating from Cratloe, Shannon Gaels, Cooraclare, Lissycasey.

Hard luck to the U14 boys who lost to Kilfenora/Liscannor/Michael Cusacks 6-6 to 3-6.

Best of luck to the U8 boys who host a blitz this Saturday from 10am.

Another first for the club this evening as the newly formed Ladies Minor team takes on Wolfetones at home this evening (Wednesday) at 7pm.  It's a very young team and we wish them the very best in their inaugural match. #FillTheHill

The Junior B ladies play Doora Barefield (2) in the Shield Final on Saturday 8th September at 6:30 at a venue to be decided.  The team then face the same opponents in the last round of the league campaign with the winner topping the table.  The team has already qualified for League semi-final.

The Men's Intermediate Championship resumes on 1st September when they take on Naomh Eoin, in a must-win match to keep their hopes alive of reaching the semi-final.

Best of luck to the U14 boys who travel to take on the North Clare amalgamation of Kilfenora/Liscannor /Michael Cusacks this evening.

Well done to Gerard Kelly who was the key man for Clare in the Masters All Ireland Plate semi-final on Saturday last. Ger scored 1-9 of Clare's 1-12 to ensure Clare enjoyed a share of the spoils. Clare was losing to Down 2-8 to 1-8 with 15 minutes to go, when Ger Bobby popped over 4 scores to draw the sides level at full time: Clare 1-12, Down 1-9.

Congrats to Amy Murphy who was part of the Clare Ladies U17 Squad that took part in the National Blitz.  Clare was pipped by a single point in the Shield Final.

Tickets are now on sale for the 300 draw which raises vital funds for pitch development, and your support is greatly appreciated.
