Kildysart Intermediates had a challenge match last Saturday and while they didn't win, they were encouraged by the display from young players who made their debuts on the adult team. Their first League match is Saturday 11th March.

The Ladies U16, who have moved up a division to Div 3 start their Championship next week with an away match to Doonbeg.

Intermediates first league match is Saturday 11th March.  The Intermediate championship draw was held 7th Feb and Kildysart are in with Kilmihil, Liscannor and Clarecastle - it should kick off on the 11th or 18th of June.

Congratulations to all under age players that received medals on Saturday evening last. Kildysart experienced great success in 2016 winning county championships at U14 ladies, U16 boys and U18 boys. We also were county champions in amalgamation with Coolmeen at U14 and U15 West Clare. Special thanks to our medal presenters Ailish Considine, Podge Collins and Cathal O'Connor.  Individual photos will be on facebook during the week.

We wish the best of luck to the new executive who were appointed at Saturday's AGM. We thank Noel McMahon for his time and efforts as out-going club secretary and wish him well in his future endeavours. We welcome on board our new chairman John Ginnane (JB) and wish him every success. We also welcome the new assistant secretary John Byrne and wish Tom Kelly best of luck in his new role as secretary. Congrats to the Kildysart/Coolmeen U15's who won the West Clare Championship for the second time on 3rd November.  They beat Kilmurry Ibrickane 4-5 to 0-10.  They then went on to contest the County U15 Championship final where they lost to a stronger Corofin team.

We wish our neighbours Ballyea the best of luck in the Munster Senior Hurling Final this Sunday.

Congrats to the Minor team and management of securing back to back Minor titles by beating last year's finalists the Banner by score line of 2-16 to 2-3.  There is an article and photos in today's Clare People.

Best of luck to the Intermediate team in the Banner Cup final v St. Breckan's on Saturday at 3pm in Miltown.  Kildysart are undefeated this year but Breckan's have gotten stronger as the year progressed.  Both teams will play in Garry Cup for 2017.

Best of luck to the Kildysart/ Coolmeen U15 who face Kilmurry Ibrickane in the West Clare Final on Thursday 3rd November 2016.

Congrats to the Intermediate team who topped the Banner League table and are straight through to the final after their win over Kilfenora on Saturday 2-9 to 0-9.  They await the semi-final result between St. Breckan's and Coolmeen which takes place this Sunday at noon in Lisdoon.

Hard luck to the Ladies U12 who were beaten in the C Plate final on Sunday last v Wolfetones.  They came third out of 7 in their group which was a good accomplishment and are the first ladies team to play in C division.  The match took place as part of the At Your Service Opening Day festivities so all the girls got to spend time with Francis Brennan on the day.

Congrats to the Kildysart/Coolmeen U15 team who beat the Gaels/Kilmhil in the semi to qualify for the West Clare Final.

Best of luck to Minor team who defend their title in the Minor C final v Banner, which is a repeat of last year's final.  This match is penciled in for Saturday 4:30 in Ballynacally, but is subject to change.

The Race Night will be held this Sunday in the Corner with the first race starting at 6:30 sharp.

Congrats to the Ladies U15 who won the innaugaral Johnny Hayes Memorial Shield on Saturday last.  The final was played v Shannon Gaels and it was an exciting game which brought the teams to extra time. Kildysart had the lead at the first break 2 points to nil. The Gaels came back to draw level at full time 2 points each. Kildysart were hot out of the starting blocks and amounted 2-1 while keeping the Gaels scoreless. The Gaels fought back in the 2nd period of extra time with a goal but Kildysart fired over 2 more points to win 2-5 to 1-2.

Congrats to the Ladies U12 who are in a C Plate competition v Wolftones.  This is the first Ladies team to play in a "C" decider.

Congrats to the Kil/Cool U15 who have qualified for West Clare B Semi-final v Gaels/Kilmihil.

Best of luck to the Intermediates when they take on Kilfenora (again) in the Banner League Round 7. The match will be live streamed from Kilfenora this Saturday at 4pm.

The race night has been postponed until Sunday 23rd October at 6:30 in the Corner Bar
