U12 Gaelic Football Leagues Rules 2013
The U12 Gaelic Football Leagues 2013 will consist of a set of league games over eight weeks culminating in aFinals Day for all teams on week eight.
The 5 leagues will be known as the Brian O' Reilly, Michael Greene, Dan O' Halloran, The Banner and The Georgie Fitzpatrick leagues. 
The Banner and Georgie Fitzpatrick leagues will consist of the second teams of the Cusack and Davin league clubs respectively.
Standard Gaelic Football rules will apply in all games. (exception: the one hop one solo rule will apply)
The football used will be smart touch football/size 3
Each game to consist of 2 halves of 20minutes
The maximum number of players in every team will be 11 aside.
Standard team sheets must be submitted to the referee at every game 
Unlimited substitutions allowed (no slips necessary for the referee)
Score difference will determine league placing.
Proposed Finals  will be on 24th/25th/26th May 2013 and will involve the team that finished 1st in the league playing the team that finished 2nd in the league, team 3 playing team 4, team 5 playing team 6, team 7 playing team 8 and team 9 playing team 10.
Goalposts should be placed on the 20M line and the sidelines should be narrowed on either side to approximately 65M/70M. 
Where 2 games are being played at the 1 time the pitches should go from the 13m line to the far 45m line at opposite ends of the pitch. Width of pitches should be from the sideline to the 1st goal post.
In the case of a 9 aside game, one of the Goalposts should be moved out from the 20M to the 45M as is done in the National School games.
It is proposed to use either existing referees or newly trained young whistlers to referee the games.
There is no square ball in the games.
In accordance with general rule, penalties will be awarded for offences inside the square.
Games cannot be cancelled or postponed without the organising committee’s agreement. 3 days notice must be giving for any postponement of games.
Results must be text every week to 0831014430 by the two clubs that played in the game.

Round 1  -  Friday 05th April
Round 2  -  Friday 12th April
Round 3  -  Friday 19th April
Round 4  - Friday 26th April
Round 5  -  Sunday 05th May
Round 6  -  Sunday 12th May
Round 7  -  Sunday 19th May
Finals Days  :   Friday 24th May/Saturday 25th May/Sunday 26th May

2012 League Summary:
16/05/2012:  Kildysart finished their league games for 2012 in style with comprehensive win over Kilimer 1-15 to 1-4, having led at half time 1-7 to 3 points.  Today's scorers are: Diarmuid O'Donnell (1-5), Seamus Casey (0-3), Stephen Sheehan (0-4), Emmet McMahon, Chloe Sheehan and Darren Crehen each with 1 point.[Report by Mairead Kelly.]

Kildysart remain unbeaten since the start of 2011 season and they've topped the Division 3B table for two years in a row.  After drawing their first game with the Gaels, the team went on to win against Doonbeg, Lissycasey, Coolmeen and Kilimer and also won two challenge matches against Clondegad.

West Clare: 
The road to the final started with the U12's moving up to "A" division to play their first game against Clondegad on 20 July, which they won 03 06 to 02 08.  Next up was a draw against Miltown, Kildysart 03 04 to 02 07. Their third round saw them deliver a convincing win over Kilrush 05 15 to 02 03. Kildysart advanced to the final by accounting for Naomh Eoin/O'Currys 01 15 to 01 05.  Well done to the team and management Kevin Kelly, Patrick Casey and Michael O'Connor on a great West Clare campaign.
